Deco Products is the largest stand alone zinc die cast manufacturer in North America. Located in Decorah, Iowa, Deco Products operates in a 150,000 square foot building with about 200 employees. At Deco, zinc die cast parts are formed from raw certified zinc alloy ingots. Next the zinc parts are degated from the zinc “runner”. Then the parts are staged to our paint and powder coating area in the plant where a finish is applied. If additional assembly is required, we perform those jobs at Deco, as well. Lastly, our parts are packaged and shipped from our location to our customers! Our 150,000 square foot facility consists of the following operations:

Performing multiple stages of production within the plant allows Deco Products multiple stages of quality assurance. Quality control checks occur constantly by the hands of each production associate who touches the zinc die cast part, as well as by our quality assurance team who constantly rover through the plant inspecting parts and examining processes for proper control. . Part of training for our production associates is to notice dimensional concerns, but also pitting, flashing, and pores that affect the surface finish of the parts. We go through these extra measures of quality control at Deco to ensure we provide the highest level of quality.
