Community Support

Community support is a big part of the make up of Deco Products. Deco Products proudly supports community organizations such as:

  • Decorah Parks and Rec
  • Decorah Bike Trails
  • Luther College
  • Scholarships at Northeast Iowa Community College

Support with these organizations has led to the completion of community projects such as the Dunning’s Springs stone arch bridge, a Decorah bike bridge crossing Trout Run stream, and the gazebo located in downtown Decorah just outside of the Oneota Food Co-op.

Ongoing support from Deco Products for Luther College has developed into the Deco Products Applied Learning Endowment which has funded internships and applied learning opportunities for more than 20 Luther students.

Other Deco Product’s contributions to Luther College have help funded the Field House, Preus Library, and Jenson-Nobel Hall of Music.

We are also doing our best to sustain the regional economy by creating dependable long-term jobs. Please see our Employment page for current job openings.

Environmental Impact

Deco is also working to continually reduce its environmental impact through the promotion of good environmental practices and sustainability in all of its operations and products.

Zinc is a natural element found as a component of the earth’s crust.  With deposits spread widely throughout the world, zinc ores are extracted in more than 50 countries.  Added as a dietary supplement in vitamins, facial creams and sun blockers, zinc is an indispensable part of our daily lives. Zinc alloys stand out as one of the most sustainable manufacturing materials.  Due to its low melting point, zinc requires less energy to produce castings, and virtually 100% of the metal can be recycled. Zinc is a greener option when compared to many other manufacturing materials.
